From 27 September to 1 October 2021, the second fully virtual edition of the European Health Forum Gastein (EHFG) featured over 175 speakers, spanning the World Health Organization (WHO), European Union (EU) and country officials, industry representatives, healthcare professionals, civil society actors and social rights activists. The main theme of the EHFG 2021 was “Rise like a phoenix – Health at the heart of a resilient future for Europe”.
What can Europe and the world learn from the COVID-19 pandemic? How can we show renewed strength as we emerge and ensure that health continues to be given the necessary significance within society? The European Health Forum Gastein 2021 aims to provide answers to these questions.
The 14th European Public Health (EPH) Conference which should have taken place in Dublin on 10–12 November 2021 will be organised as a virtual event. The main topic is “Public health futures in a changing world”.
Over 650 health policy and public health experts from across Europe joined this year’s digital European Health Forum Gastein (30 Sept – 2 Oct 2020) and explored how we can build more resilient healthcare systems and societies while reconceptualising economic growth and well-being.
