EPH Conference 2021 goes virtual

The 14th European Public Health (EPH) Conference which should have taken place in Dublin on 10–12 November 2021 will be organised as a virtual event.

The Executive Board of the European Public Health (EPH) Conference has made the decision to organise the 14th EPH Conference in Dublin on 10–12 November 2021 as a virtual event. The Board Members assume that in November the COVID-19 pandemic will still make it unfeasible for two thousand people from many different countries to come together at one conference venue.

The main topic of the virtual EPH Conference 2021 is “Public health futures in a changing world”. Sub-themes of the conference include:

*       Public health practice, training and workforces for the future

*       Learning from the pandemic, and getting ready for the next one

*       Digital health – person centred?

*       Climate change and public health – a dual role

*       Public health, social health, going back to go forwards.

The conference will be held from Wednesday 10 until Friday 12 November. The programme will be similar to previous EPH Conferences, with plenary sessions, workshops, oral and poster presentations, and Join the Network sessions. Most sessions will be live with interaction and moderation, and the length of all parallel sessions will be 60 minutes. Abstract submission for the virtual 14th EPH Conference 2021 is possible from 1 February 2021 until 1 May 2021. Abstracts are invited for workshops, oral and pitch presentations, and e-posters.

The EPH Conference also offers an Abstract Mentor Programme which provides an opportunity for young and/or less experienced abstract submitters to receive feedback from experienced reviewers. The programme also opens on 1 February 2021 and aims to provide guidance and comments on proposed abstracts for researchers who have limited access to colleagues. Registration for the virtual 14th EPH Conference opens on 1 April 2021. More information on the programme and other details are available on the EPH Conference website.
